Under his birth name (Donald Merrick), Domino spent years teaching and writing about the visual arts at the fine arts department at Fairleigh Dickinson University
in New Jersey. Privately, the artist Domino was hard at work dreaming up his erotic fantasies. It was not until after his divorce from his wife that Donald exposed Domino to the rest of the world. A close friend of Tom of Finland, Domino sought to match his ability to create rough, raw, aggressive workingmen into sexual objects of desire. Stomper’s Gallery, New York, NY (1978) mounted Domino’s debut exhibition Domino: Original Drawings and Prints.
